My ThingyMABOB
My sister has created a company called My Thingymabob, which specialises in making children's ideas and imaginary friends into reality. She has given us the chance to create our very own toy. Children must design their own A4 sized drawing of their creation. They must then take a photo of it/scan it and send it to [email protected] to enter the draw to get their creation turned into a real-life soft toy. The draw ends this Friday.
Otherwise, if you would like to purchase a personalised toy or bespoke 100% NZ wool rug for a Christmas present, visit her website www.mythingymabob.com and order online. This is a great opportunity for those that love the magic of seeing their creations come to life.
Plus, all profits for 2015 will be donated to Childfund so that one child's joy is another's survival.

Waterwise TERM 4
Dear Parents/Caregivers
The second session at Waterwise will be in Week 7 of this term.
Waterwise is a required component of our P.E. programme and all students are expected to participate. At Waterwise we want to provide more Kiwi kids with the opportunity to explore and develop confidence in and around the water. The coast, lakes and rivers of our country play a large part in our lives. We believe that positive learning experiences around water will enhance every child’s future by building individual confidence and a strong sense of independence and connection.
Each class needs parent helpers and trained instructors. If you could all please complete the following survey on your ability to help out at Waterwise, it would be very much appreciated.
Due to timetabling changes, ROOM 16 will now be going to Waterwise on:
TERM 4 WEEK 7 - WEDNESDAY 25 NOVEMBER (8.40am - 11:40am) - MORNING
*Students will need to ensure that they have warm clothes on the day (beanie, warm jumper and jacket, and raincoat depending on the forecast). All students will leave for Milford School by bus and return to school by bus. Parents - you may choose to meet up at school and catch the bus with students, or meet us directly at Milford School.
Thank you for your support – without it the programme would not be possible. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on [email protected] and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can.
Kind regards,
Joyce Kim
